We understand that the size of the campus and the number of people can be overwhelming for some.
This year, we have developed our sensory experience with 1. A number of sensory spaces, identifiable by the headphones icon on the Festival map; 2. Sensory friendly events will have the rainbow infinity symbol next to them on the printed programme, which you can pick up on the day; and 3. Priority queuing for neurodivergent attendees, which is offered to those with a Neurodiversity Ireland lanyard.
On the day, if you don’t have a lanyard, go to one our Information Stands at the Festival. You will complete the form via the Neurodiversity Ireland website and receive a lanyard there and then. Attendees with Sunflower Hidden Disability lanyards and AsIAm cards are also given priority access.
Please share our Social Story (Visual Guide) with anyone who will benefit from having advance understanding of how the UCD Festival will look and feel.
We are proud to partner with Intel to deliver a sensory friendly experience.
Sensory friendly activities are listed below. We hope you enjoy the festival knowing that we have your comfort and wellbeing in mind.
