1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

As part of the UCD Festival, this Bloomsday, we invited Chinese alumni to join us online for this unique opportunity to learn more about UCD’s most famous alumnus – James Joyce. This very special talk was hosted by author and Joyce enthusiast Robert Grogan, and took place Thursday 16 June – the day depicted in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses, named after Leopold Bloom, the novel’s central character. A fun and light-hearted session, Robert offered insight into Joyce’s literary masterpiece, discussed the unique nature of Ulysses and offered advice on how best to read it.
