Expired UCD Architecture Tour

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
O'Reilly Hall

This tour, beginning in the shadow of UCD Belfield’s Water Tower, will follow the path of the original brave-new-world vision for a national university campus for Ireland, from 1964 to the end of the 1980s. We’ll be taking in the spaces and thresholds of the Science blocks, the Arts or Newman Building, the James Joyce Library, and the Tierney or Administrative building. Along the way, the tour will follow the Polish architect Andrej Wejchert’s spine or walkway. It will look at the lakes, and finish at the award-winning Restaurant building by Robin Walker. Meeting point is Tours & Trails next to O’Reilly Hall First come, first served with a maximum of 15 people.

You can drop in to this event whenever you’d like, but don’t forget to register for the Festival Hub Zone if you wish to attend.
