Join us for an immersive capoeira workshop as part of MENU’s Home and Sense of Belonging at the UCD Festival. This unique experience invites participants into the dynamic and vibrant world of Capoeira—a Brazilian martial art that blends movement, music, and cultural expression.
Whether you’re a first-timer or familiar with Capoeira, this workshop is open to all levels and designed to inspire, energise, and connect!
MENU (Multicultural Employee Network of UCD) is a thriving network of nearly 300 UCD staff sharing an interest primarily in multiculturalism, culture, and language. Over the past few years, MENU has blended well in the University landscape, giving its international community a unique voice. Whether through Culture Café or engaging workshops, members have an opportunity to share their stories, music, cuisine from around the world or learn a new craft.
This year MENU will explore the topic of home and belonging. What does it mean for someone who left their country to settle for a new beginning? Is home a physical place or a collection of memories and passions that we carry through our life journeys?
The photo gallery from MENU members and the Capoeira workshop will aspire to bring everyone closer to this topic.
