Sensory Friendly
Sensory Friendly
The UCD Festival strives to create a more accessible Festival experience for our neurodiverse community. We hope you enjoy the day knowing that we have your comfort and wellbeing in mind.
- Our Sensory Friendly area located in the Old UCD Student Centre will host activities and events in a comfortable, inclusive environment
- Icons on the UCD Festival map/programme will identify:
a. Sensory spaces with headphones
b. Loud and busy areas with megaphones
c. Sensory friendly events (listed below) with a heart symbol ♥️
- Volunteers and Content providers will be inclusive of everyone including our neurodivergent attendees. Seek out those wearing the Neurodiversity symbol
- Priority access at busy areas and with food vendors, for those with a lanyard from Neurodiversity Ireland, Hidden Disabilities, and/or AsIAm
- Lanyards: In advance of the UCD Festival, if you need a lanyard to identify as a neurodivergent person, please go to Neurodiversity Ireland website to register
